Why Hello… Karen!
Fresh from an eventful weekend with Suzanne, it’s orange juice only today for Michelle as she gives her liver a rest, and together she and Suzanne delve into a topic which arose in last week’s podcast. The notion of ‘pulling a Karen’ was a new one for Michelle last week, so she has since done some research on just what the criteria for a Karen are, and today she and Suzanne offer their perspectives on Karens, and explore the possibility that one of them might meet these criteria. Before they get into the main topic, though, Michelle shares a couple of scary experiences she has had, one of which just happened recently, and then she and Suzanne review their safety plans for potentially dangerous situations. They also discuss March Madness Pools, COVID vaccinations and ‘vaxholes’, the universality of COVID, and Suzanne’s experience with an anti-mask demonstrator while she was visiting Michelle. Finally, they dive into the Karen criteria, Suzanne’s perspective on them and on being considered one, her results from a couple online ‘Karen’ quizzes, and some concluding thoughts regarding the Karen approach to life. If you’ve ever wondered about what it means to be a Karen, today’s entertaining episode is the one for you!
